International Storage Battery Company (ISBCO) has been established in 1994 and started operation in 1995 under license from Hoppecke GmbH, Germany specialized in the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of automotive batteries, in Jordan and the region.

ISBCO, a leading manufacturer of high quality batteries of DIN and JIS standards under several brands designed and manufactured to meet the diverse needs of the Middle Eastern market.

ISBCO has the sophistication, technology, and facilities to produce high end quality products, as it also have the staff and management, rigorously trained in their fields of expertise to assure proper application to each process. ISBCO achieved a milestone in pursuit of quality by receiving the ISO 9002 certification.

Being a market leader places a responsibility on ISBCO and Abu Khader Group to be responsible corporate citizens, running a manufacturing facility and considering its impact on the environment. ISBCO has adopted the backward integration manufacturing strategy by which the company is looking forward to establishing a recycling plant that will extract lead from used batteries thus providing their batteries manufacturing plants the needed raw material, while reutilizing toxic lead hence contributing to reducing threats to the environment. ISBCO has been awarded the ISO 14001 certification testifying that ISBCO complies with the environmental safety standards.

Because of the increase in demand, the company has been turned into a public shareholding company – Comprehensive Multiple Project Company – with a total paid up capital of JD 4,250,000 in order to raise enough capital to execute its future plans of increasing the capacity of the factory to one million batteries per year and establish the battery recycled plant in accordance with international environmental standards.
